Parks and gardens
Stourport Town Council owns and maintains the following parks and gardens.
- Areley Kings Recreational Ground and MAPA (multi activity play area)
- Lickhill War Memorial Park
- Villeneuve-le-Roi Gardens including War Memorial Gardens
- Lloyds Meadow
- Foundry Street
- Britannia Gardens play area
Riverside Meadows - we own and maintain the public toilets and the paddling pool.

Our parks are maintained so that people can continue to enjoy them in line with latest government advice. When enjoying our parks and open spaces, please use the bins provided or take your litter home.
Areley Kings Recreational Ground
The play area and multi activity play area at Areley Kings Recreational Ground are open to use.
Lickhill War Memorial Park
Green Gym
The Green Gym in the Lickhill War Memorial Park is open to use.
Play Areas
The play areas at Lickhill War Memorial Park are open to use.
Riverside Meadows
Paddling pool
The paddling pool is open.
Please help us keep the pool clean and safe (and open!) by following the safety tips and advice. If your child is not toilet trained, they should be wearing a swim nappy.
Over the winter months, additional benches have been installed together with a non-slip surface around the paddling pool surround.
CCTV images are being monitored for the purpose of crime prevention and public safety and associated signage has now been put in place around the paddling pool.
Public toilets
The public toilets at Riverside Meadows (located in the lower car park) are open during the summer months: 8.00am to 7.00pm (including Bank Holidays) and during the winter months 10.00am to 4.00pm. Both disabled and baby change facilities are available.

War memorials
Stourport-on-Severn War Memorials are located in the Memorial Gardens on the corner of Mitton Street and Vale Road and commemorate the town’s residents killed or missing in the First World War (113 names) and the Second World War (34 names) and the Falklands War (a single name).
Villeneuve-le-Roi Gardens, on the corner of Lion Hill and Mitton Street, were created to celebrate the 1972 twinning of Stourport-on-Severn with the French commune, a suburb of Paris located just 8.5 miles from the centre of the city.
Community Safety and CCTV in Stourport
The Town Council have CCTV installed in three locations within Stourport-on-Severn. At Stourport Community Centre on the War Memorial Park, Riverside Paddling Pool and at the Riverside Meadows Toilets. These help to improve detection of crime, provide reassurance and keep our town a clean and safe place to live, work and visit.
