Stourport future

Thank you to the 1200+ people who took part in our initial Stourport Future survey!

We’ve had some fantastic responses and really appreciate the time people have taken to let us know what they want to see the future Stourport to look like.

People who completed the survey gave our town an average rating of 3.1 out of 5 stars. We want to take this average rating and work on ways to improve it and that is where your suggestions will help!

We have almost 12,000 comments to go through. These will help us shape our Stourport Future Vision document which will be published by Spring 2025. Rather than make you wait until then to find out what people have said we will publish an initial report in mid November. This will summarise some of the key points raised in the survey. From there we will be able to open further consultation on what people feel is the most important for us to work on initially.

Many people who responded said that they learn about the town from Facebook or other social media or from talking to others. We’re going to be publicising updates on our Facebook page and don’t forget our Mayor has an open-door surgery every second Tuesday if you have anything you would like to discuss! You can also email the working group at stourportfuture@stourporttowncouncil.gov.uk

We have had some comments and requests for things that are beyond our remit. We won’t be ignoring these; we will make sure your views are heard and highlight them with the appropriate authorities. If there are any issues you feel need reporting, please check out our reporting webpage for information on the most appropriate place to report to.

The hard part starts once the vision has been created. That is, changing the town to match the vision! Not everyone will agree with every change. However, to create the Stourport-on-Severn of the future, then every decision that is made, should be a step forward.
