Planning permission is sought for the formation of 7 bike trails and associated works including car park, landscaping and ecological enhancements, a clubhouse/tuckshop and a toilet block, both units constructed from wood-cladded portable shipping containers to facilitate the woodland as a bike park. Burlish Bike Park proposal is for an outdoor community centre based around mountain biking. The site is aimed to support the physical and mental health and wellbeing of local residents, as well as attracting cycling visitors and tourists from further afield. The proposals for the site include mountain bike skills development through progressive trails and skills areas suitable for a range of ages and abilities, including a disability-adapted bike trail. As such, the site???s development would require the provision of formalised access and parking, as well as the minor re-working of land to facilitate the provision of the mountain bike trails.
