  1. APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN FOR THE CURRENT MUNICIPAL YEAR

    It was resolved that Councillor Rogers be appointed as Chairman.

  2. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

    Apologies for absence were received from Councillors J Griffiths & D Morris. Councillor Berry was appointed as a substitute for Councillor Morris.

  3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

    There were no declarations of interest.

  4. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

    There was no other business.

  5. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

    Decision: "Under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of "exempt information" as defined in paragraphs of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

  6. UPDATE FROM THE TOWN CLERK ON STAFFING

    The Town Clerk updated Members with regard to the post of PA/Administrator. Following the resignation of the current postholder, a discussion took place and it was agreed that the vacancy be advertised in the New Year but with a new job title and job description. This would also be on 37 hours per week.

    Recommendation:

    1. The job title be changed from PA/Administrator to Civic Support Officer.
    2. The vacancy be advertised in the New Year (January 2026) following the amendment of the job description by the Town Clerk. It was also agreed that this would be circulated to Members of the HR Committee prior to advertisement.

  7. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

    There was no other business.
