Paddling pool update
Stourport-on-Severn Town Council recognises the Riverside Paddling Pool as a valuable asset to our town, cherished by both residents and visitors.
Repairs to the pipework underneath the Riverside Paddling Pool have been identified and we have been working closely with our contractors to develop a plan for reopening the paddling pool. However, after careful consideration, we regret to announce that the Riverside Paddling Pool will not open this year. The required repairs must be carried out by specialist contractors, whose availability means the work cannot be completed before the end of summer.
The paddling pool will re-open at the start of Summer 2026. Our contractors have advised that a sustained period of clear, dry weather will be necessary to re-lay the pool’s surface. Given its location near the River Severn, there is a possibility that flooding may further impact the timeline.
Stourport-on-Severn Town Council would like to reassure residents and visitors that we take our responsibilities seriously. This decision was not made lightly and has undergone full and careful consideration.
