Riverside Meadows
Paddling pool
We’re pleased to inform you that the works being undertaken at the Riverside Paddling Pool, Stourport-on-Severn, are progressing well. We’re currently on track for the paddling pool to open as usual for the summer season, in time for the Spring Bank Holiday weekend towards the end of May 2026.
The next stage of the project involves relaying the flooring, and it is highly dependent on suitable weather conditions. The contractor requires a period of warm, dry weather for this work to be completed. Our timetable for re-opening the paddling pool may be unavoidably impacted by the weather forecast over the coming weeks.
We’ll continue to keep you updated as the project progresses. Please follow our Facebook page or check our website regularly for the latest information.
CCTV images are being monitored for the purpose of crime prevention and public safety and associated signage has now been put in place around the paddling pool.
Public toilets
The public toilets at Riverside Meadows (located in the lower car park) are open during the summer months: 8.00am to 7.00pm (including Bank Holidays) and during the winter months 10.00am to 4.00pm. Both disabled and baby change facilities are available.
If you have visited our public toilets and would like to report a fault or comment on the standard of cleanliness, please contact us.

War memorials
Stourport-on-Severn War Memorials are located in the Memorial Gardens on the corner of Mitton Street and Vale Road and commemorate the town’s residents killed or missing in the First World War (113 names) and the Second World War (34 names) and the Falklands War (a single name).
Villeneuve-le-Roi Gardens, on the corner of Lion Hill and Mitton Street, were created to celebrate the 1972 twinning of Stourport-on-Severn with the French commune, a suburb of Paris located just 8.5 miles from the centre of the city.
Community Safety and CCTV in Stourport
The Town Council have CCTV installed in three locations within Stourport-on-Severn. At Stourport Community Centre on the War Memorial Park, Riverside Paddling Pool and at the Riverside Meadows Toilets. These help to improve detection of crime, provide reassurance and keep our town a clean and safe place to live, work and visit.
