85. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

There were no apologies for absence.

86. MINUTES

It was RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Meeting of the Council held on 1st December 2020 be confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Mayor.

87. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Councillors B Jones, R Lloyd and J Thomas declared an interest in Agenda Item No. 7 – Parks Committee minutes, as they were trustees of Areley Kings Village Hall.

88. PUBLIC QUESTION TIME

No public had registered to speak.

89. MAYORS COMMUNICATIONS

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor’s engagements were circulated and noted.

90. APPROVAL OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MINUTES OF 16TH DECEMBER 2020 AND APPROVE AUTHORISATION FOR RECOMMENDATIONS WHERE APPLICABLE

The Chairman of the Planning Committee informed Council of the planning application recommendations to be made to the district council. The minutes of the meeting held on 16th December 2020 were approved.

91. PARKS COMMITTEE MINUTES 8TH JULY 2020

The minutes of the meeting of the Parks Committee held on the 8th July 2020 were approved. Members were informed that following a request from the trustees at Areley Kings Village Hall to install a fence around the Village Hall for security purposes, approval was required from all Councillors as they were trustees of Areley Kings Recreation Ground. It was RESOVLED that the fence be erected but with conditions.

92. UPDATE FROM COUNCILLOR MRS B DAWES ON SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

There was nothing to report.

93. UPDATE FROM COUNCILLORS MRS N MARTIN (CABINET MEMBERS FOR WYRE FOREST DISTRICT COUNCIL) AND COUNCILLORS P HARRISON & C ROGERS (STOURPORT COUNTY COUNCIL COUNCILLORS)

There was nothing to report from Cabinet members for Wyre Forest District Council. Councillor Rogers informed Council that the County Council had been planting lots of trees as part of the National Tree Planting Scheme.

94. REINSTATEMENT OF THE TWINNING WORKING PARTY GROUP

A robust discussion was held on the reinstatement of the Twinning Working Party Group for the purposes of the 50th anniversary between the town council and Villeneuve-le-Roi. It was RESOLVED that the Town Clerk would make contact with the Mayor’s office in Villeneuve-le-Roi to gather their thoughts and report back to Council in February 2021 for a formal decision.

95. ACCOUNTS

The Town Clerk reported that Accounts for December 2020 totalling £3,916.19 had been paid since the last meeting and it was RESOLVED that the reports be noted and approved. A Schedule of the Accounts paid was appended at the end of these Minutes, in the Council’s Minute Book, and was available for general inspection.
