Effective Communication with the public

Develop a plan for effective communication.  Put a yearly newsletter on the District Council website, Stourport Town Council Website and other social media sites to summarise what the plans for Stourport are and what has already been achieved in the previous year.  Important to keep residents informed.

Effective Communication with Wyre Forest District Council

Monthly letter to District Council outlining the things that Stourport Town Council likes and what we do not like.  More consultation on things that are happening in Stourport and a monthly report to be issued to a Director at District Council ask what is happening with Stourport issues and how are they progressing.

Policing

Speeding traps and VAS, i.e. gates and sign posts.  Also the parking issues in High Street, Stourport and more policing of the parking and speeding issues outside of the schools areas.

Better policing and more communication with Highways Department

 

High Street

Communicate with owners of buildings and especially owners of empty building.  Is there a possibility of taking over an empty shop to turn into public toilets/information centre or flat rentals?

Worcestershire County Council

More bins in Stourport-on-Severn.  Perhaps ask for funds from Councillors?  To ensure that the road gutters and drains are clear.  To report the flooding issues at Worcester Road Island.

Public Toilets

To establish the full costs of running and of the maintenance/repair costs.  To also find out the income from the toilets.
